HERRINGBONE FLOORING

Herringbone is one of today’s most popular designs and is very similar to chevron flooring – the main difference being that herringbone floors are rectangle boards, whereas chevron boards are cut at an angle both forming pattern once laid. Traditionally, the herringbone flooring pattern was created using blocks that were made from solid wood and were relatively small, but modern methods now allow us to offer a stunning range sizes right up to 600mm long.

CHEVRON FLOORING

As with herringbone, the chevron pattern is currently enjoying something of a resurgence. Technically more difficult to lay the Chevron is a pattern of rectangular blocks at a 35 or 45 degree angle. The planks create a beautiful ‘V’ shape when the chevron wooden floor is laid, creating the distinctive lines this style of parquet is associated with.
